Karen Dravitzki

Karen Dravitzki is a painter and writer who has lived in the Bay since 2008.  She is developing her own style in oils exploring abstracts and stylised landscapes inspired by the dramatic landscape and ocean vistas that surround Titahi Bay.  She has exhibited at Bottle Creek Gallery, NZ Art Show, Big Day Art, Mana Arts Society and Ohariu Valley.  You can find her paintings at local gallery café Different Stroax.

Karen has published four children’s stories through Gilt Edge Publishing and is currently completing her first collection of poetry, House of Spiders, about motherhood, domestic life and spiders.  She belongs to a group of five women poets, The Sybils, who recently appeared at Elements festival.

She is the mother of three boys who love living in ‘Happy Bay’.
