A safe and clean beach

Please help us keep the beach safe and clean:

Alcohol

The Porirua City Council prohibits drinking, possessing or carrying liquor on Titahi Bay beach at night between 5pm and 7am.

Dogs

Dogs may be exercised on the beach during the winter, from 1 April to 31 October. They are prohibited between 9am and 7pm in the summer (1 November to 31 March).

Vehicles

Private vehicle access to the beach is controlled by the Greater Wellington Regional Council. Private vehicles are allowed to travel at slow speeds on the beach, at the south end in the vicinity of the boat sheds, and at the north end for about 100metres. Beach access is locked off overnight - see the signs at the beach. Signs indicate the prohibited centre area.
