Venues for hire

From time to time we get asked what halls or other facilities could be available for hire in the Bay. Western Ward City Councillor Geoff Hayward has asked various venues about their policies, and here are the results so far. Titahi Bay School

I am really fussy about our hall and it only goes out to certain people because of how precious our stuff is and we can’t afford to have damage. So we don’t lend out gear or the hall. The certain people are usually very old bay families that might be doing something special and there is a no booze or cigs. So the answer is NO for hire.

Titahi Bay Intermediate

We don't have any spaces or items that we let out to the community.

St Pius X School

School and St Pius X church have priority but if the hall is free we do hire it out. Our church Samoan groups use it every 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month. We also have regular groups who have bookings throughout the year.

It is best for any community group to ring the office as soon as possible before an event so I can clarify dates.

We have trestles, chairs, kitchen facilities.

Titahi Bay Bowling Club

We can offer:
BBQ AREA: Up to 60 people
Tables, BBQ, utensils, serving dishes, cutlery
Hire must provide – all consumables, including plates, napkins etc
BAY VIEW LOUNGE: Up to 150 people
Tables, Chairs, Cutlery, Plates, Bowls, Cups, serving dishes, ovens, refrigeration (full kitchen facilities)
(Extra $$) table cloths, bar service.

Cost and limitations: Cost is per function based on hirers requirements. Quotes to be given on request.

Kemp Home

Kemp is not able to book our hall out to community groups.

Wellington Power Boat Club

Our clubrooms situated at 47 Onepoto Road ie that is on Porirua Harbour is available for hire.

St Timothy's Church

It has a fully functioning Kitchen, around 20 trestles tables that have about 6 chairs around each (so seating 120 for a function), toilets of course as well. The contact details would be: Plimmerton Presbyterian Church, 18 Te Pene Avenue Titahi Bay, phone 04-2360192, and ask for Reverend Tony Wood
